AK-48 is a strengthened version of the infamous AK-47 strain, which was developed by Nirvana Seeds from a combination of mostly Sativa landrace strains from Afghanistan, Colombia, Mexico, Thailand, and Thailand. Curiously, the plant doesn’t have a strong aroma while it’s growing, but the finished buds have a floral, citrus aroma and flavor that go well together. According to Amsterdam Seed Center, laboratory tests indicate that it contains more than 20% THC. While Nirvana Seeds advises a longer vegetative period to develop the taste, the breeder advertises AK-48 as a very fast grower, ready for harvest in as little as seven weeks. This cultivar, according to the seed bank, is incredibly forgiving, making it a great option for amateur or experimental growers. Short plants bearing conical, dark green colas, pale green buds, and few yellow-orange pistils are produced by AK-48. Breeder and seed bank agree that AK-48 yields are extremely high.

A little mystery surrounds Heirloom OG, also known as High Octane OG or Nigel’s OG. Chem Dog, Lemon Thai, and Hindu Kush were used to create the all-indica Heirloom OG strain. Due to its indica ancestry, it grows short plants with broad leaves. There isn’t much information online about Heirloom OG’s cultivation, but based on genetics, it probably has an average flowering period of 49 to 63 days indoors and mid-September to early October outdoors.
