Slurricane, created by the In House Genetics team, is a hybrid of Purple Punch and Dosidos. Thanks to the genetics of OG and Grand Daddy Purple, two strains known for having high levels of trichomes in their lineage, the strain’s indica-dominant flowers have a sugary coating. Slurricane is a favorite among growers due to its high yields of gorgeous, cone-shaped, purple-green buds. At full maturity, the strain grows to average heights and blooms indoors in 55–65 days and outdoors in early October.

The Lilac Diesel strain was developed by Ethos Genetics in its native Colorado. It consists of a cross between Silver Lemon Haze and Forbidden Fruit, Citral Glue, and Chem D I95, as well as NYC Diesel and Cherry Pie. The breeder keeps improving the line, so Lilac Diesel BX2, BX3, etc., may be seen. Fruits, berries, and mint are the most frequently mentioned aromas of the original Lilac Diesel strain. It is claimed to have a taste of spices, berries, and fuel. Although more recent backcrosses are easily accessible as seeds, Lilac Diesel is not available as seeds or clones.

The Jazz cultivar was developed by Dr. Greenthumb using unknown genetics. Online sources assert that a Mexican sativa landrace is where Jazz got its start. Lemon, earth, and pepper are the most frequently mentioned aromas of the Jazz strain. Citrus and spices are said to be the flavors. Jazz is a mostly sativa strain that grows tall, slender plants that can reach heights of 12 feet. The strain is resistant to the majority of natural adversities and pests because of its landrace heritage. The strain grows well both inside and outside and matures surprisingly quickly for its size. Under natural sunlight, jazz blooms in 56 to 63 days, or by early October. Jazz seeds and clones are available.

The Dutch Passion Seed Company, based in Amsterdam, first discovered and propagated Night Queen, an Afghani landrace indica, in the 1980s. According to reports, Night Queen has a hash-heavy, citrus aroma that is spiced. Additionally, it has citrus flavors with undertones of spice and herbs. Due to its stabilized landrace genetics, Night Queen is an exceptionally simple indica to grow. When grown under ideal circumstances, the plant yields a lot of frosty buds. Even though Night Queen is a shorter, squatter bush, semi-humid climates also make it successful for outdoor growers. When grown indoors, the cultivar matures quickly, in eight to nine weeks. Night Queen seeds and clones are offered.

By fusing the high-CBD Respect with the Spanish-derived Dance Hall, which has an equal CBD to THC ratio, Royal Queen Seeds produced Royal Highness. Royal Highness is less psychoactive than other cannabis cultivars because it contains higher CBD concentrations. It emits the flavors and aromas of haze blended with skunk and sweet berries. Most amateur gardeners can successfully manage Royal Highness’ short, squat growth. When grown indoors, the strain typically flowers in eight to nine weeks, and when grown outdoors, in early October. Royal Highness can thrive in a variety of environments, but it’s important to protect them from abrupt changes in temperature or weather.

Lemon Meringue was produced by Exotic Genetix by mating a Lemon Skunk female and a Cookies & Cream male. Like its name implies, the resulting sativa-dominant strain is said to have a sweet, lemon dessert-like flavor profile. The breeder has retired the strain, and it is not easily accessible in seed or clone form, claims the online cannabis seed retailer Seeds Here Now. In an eight- to nine-week flowering period, Lemon Meringue is said to grow tall and lanky while producing large yields of stacked, towering colas.

Deep roots in the Sativa landrace gene pool can be found in Durban Poison. Ed Rosenthal, one of the first American international strain hunters, first became aware of the strain’s historical phenotypes in the late 1970s. A fast flowering strain was discovered by Rosenthal in the port city of Durban while he was in South Africa looking for new genetics, according to cultivation lore. When Rosenthal got home to the United States, he used his own method of selective breeding on his recently imported seeds before starting to share. Rosenthal gave some of his brand-new South African seeds to Mel Frank, and the rest, as they say, is cannabis history. The Sativa landrace gene pool is deeply rooted in Durban Poison. One of America’s first international strain hunters, Ed Rosenthal, became aware of the strain’s historical phenotypes in the late 1970s. Rosenthal, who is credited with discovering the fast flowering strain, is said to have been in South Africa looking for new genetics when he came across it in the port city of Durban. After reaching his American home, Rosenthal used his newly imported seeds to carry out his own form of selective breeding before starting to distribute. Mel Frank received some of Rosenthal’s brand-new South African seeds, and the rest is cannabis history. The dense, compact buds of Durban Poison are typical of landrace Indica varieties, but the elongated, conical shape of the flowers is more typical of a Sativa. Durban Poison needs lots of space when grown indoors or in a greenhouse so that it can grow side branches. Outside cultivation of Durban Poison gives this plant the chance to realize its full potential. Durban Poison needs thorough trellising whether it is grown indoors or outdoors to support its abundant flower production. The Dutch Passion Seed Company sells both regular and feminized Durban Poison seeds. In the Medical Sativa division of the Denver High Times Cannabis Cup in 2013 and 2014, Durban Poison took second place.

The Green House Seed Company in Amsterdam produces the Sativa-dominant hybrid known as Super Silver Haze. Its name originally belonged to a plant created by breeders Scott Blakey, also known as Shantibaba, Howard Marks, also known as Mr. Nice, and Neville Schoenmaker. After leaving the seed company, they reworked the strain and gave it the name Silver Haze. According to Green House, Sam the Skunkman’s Northern Lights #5 was crossed with Shiva to create the current iteration of the strain. At the High Times Cannabis Cup, the strain won first place three times in a row: first place overall in 1998 and 1999, as well as first place in the hydro category in 1998. The strain reportedly has a strong, quick-acting Sativa-like effect as well as an instantly recognizable, spicy-peppery terpene profile, according to the seed company. It had 19.11% THC, 0.17% CBD, and 0.74% CBN in the test. It is advised for reducing pain and increasing appetite. The strain blooms for 70–77 days, growing tall with long branches, bright green leaves, and both white and orange stigma hairs. According to Green House, the outdoor harvest occurs in the Northern Hemisphere around mid-October and in the Southern Hemisphere around mid-April. Additionally, it suggests Low-Stress Training (LST) and Screen of Green (ScrOG) for indoor grows as well as equatorial, tropical, subtropical, and temperate climates for outdoor growing. Green House offers a strain of Super Silver Haze that has a high CBD content in addition to the original strain, as a result of breeding it with a high CBD plant. The seed supplier offers both the original and high-CBD varieties in feminized seed form.

The landrace Hawaiian sativa is thought to be the direct ancestor of the cultivar Aloha, which has origins that are unknown. Citrus, pineapple, and herbs are the most frequently mentioned aromas of the Aloha strain. Oranges and tropical fruit are said to taste like it. On Aloha, there isn’t a lot of public cultivation data. It grows above 10 feet and thrives in outdoor gardens because it is a sativa landrace strain. Aloha likely has a longer flowering season, lasting up to 84 days indoors and beginning in early November outdoors. Aloha cannot be obtained as seeds or clones.

Blue Cheese was first grown by the staff at Big Buddha Seeds. The breeders decided to breed a female with another Blueberry x Big Buddha Cheese hybrid male after perfecting the phenotype of the UK-born Cheese. As a result, the heritage of blue cheese rather than its flavor or aroma is what gave it its name. Customers describe blue cheese as a fruity flower that makes them feel happy but not euphoric. Breeders claim that Blue Cheese blooms indoors in eight to ten weeks and outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere near the end of October. If kept in slightly cooler environments, blue cheese has a strong aroma and is resistant to mold and mildew.
