The original Purple Punch strain was said to have been created by the Hawaiian breeders at Supernova Gardens through a cross between Granddaddy Purple and Larry OG. Regardless of where it came from, Purple Punch has found its way into the hands of some of the most well-known growers in the world, including the Jungle Boys of Los Angeles.
This indica-leaning strain, which has a grape soda and blueberry aroma, might sound sweet, but it tends to pack a powerful punch; some strains are said to have THC levels between 20% and 25%.
Purple Punch has a moderate to high yield range over a seven to eight-week flowering period and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor growing environments. This strain is said to produce dense, purple-hued buds at this stage, along with frosty trichomes with regular internodal spacing. Although this variety is reportedly resistant to mites, if the flowering cycle and curing process are carried out without adequate airflow, mold growth may occur.
