Reina Madre, which translates to “Queen Mother” in Spanish, was first developed by the Delicatessen Seed Bank in Spain by crossing La Reunion with an unidentified sativa and Congo #1. Queen Mother is said to have a flavor and aroma that are frequently compared to bitter herbs and spices and is known to produce large amounts of resin.
Cannatonic, the renowned high-CBD strain developed by the Spanish breeder Resin Seeds, was produced by crossing Queen Mother with NYC Diesel.
Queen Mother plants produce medium-to-high amounts of trichome-encrusted buds in a 55 to 65 day flowering cycle, or at the end of September if grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor growing environments.
