Golden Pineapple is a cross between Pineapple Kush (Pineapple x Master Kush) and Golden Goat, a male Hawaiian-Romulan pollinated with a Skunk mother; the identity of its original breeder is unknown. Golden Pineapple was given that name due to both its pineapple and citrus parentage and vibrant aroma.
Golden Pineapple won Best Sativa at the 2017 Oregon Northwest Cannabis Cup thanks to its flavor and aroma.
The short, bushy plants that the Golden Pineapple strain produces thrive both indoors and outdoors. This cultivar will reach full maturity when grown indoors within eight to nine weeks of starting the flowering photoperiod. Early October in the Northern Hemisphere is when outdoor growers in more temperate climates can enjoy the high yielding Golden Pineapple and benefit from its high mold and disease resistance.
