The Canadian breeder Next Generation Seed Co. developed Romulan Grapefruit, formerly known as Stinky, after returning from Europe with nearly a decade’s worth of knowledge about breeding. The strain is a cross between Romulan from Next Generation and Grapefruit, which together produce a grapefruit and citrus aroma and flavor.
The eight to nine-week flowering cycle of Romulan Grapefruit, which is rumored to be a little challenging to grow, results in average yields of light green colas with milky trichomes. Romulan genetics, according to Next Generation Seed Co., are responsible for the strain’s flavor and effects, while Grapefruit genetics significantly influence yield and structure.
