Afghanica, also known as Kabul Baba, is a cultivar that first appeared in Las Vegas and has unidentified origins. The strain is believed to be a particularly frosty variation of the Afghan #1 landrace.
The Afghanica strain’s most prevalent reported aromas are floral and earthy. It is said to taste of ripe berries and sweet flowers.
An indica landrace strain called Afghanica produces short, squat bushes with a lot of branching. According to reports, the cultivar is challenging for novice growers to handle, though those with experience using the Screen of Green (ScROG) method may increase yields. Although it prefers warm climates, the strain grows successfully both indoors and outdoors. Afghanica matures fully indoors in 49–56 days and outdoors by late September.
Seeds and clones of Afghanica are readily available.
