The Blood is a cannabis variety that the team at Pua Mana Pakalolo first developed. According to them, it is a unique phenotype of Kona Gold, a plant belonging to the Hawaiian sativa landrace family. It gets its name from the fact that plants have a red line running down the center of their stems and that their leaves secrete sap that is red and sticky, just like its namesake. The Blood, according to the Pua Mana team, emits a pungent scent reminiscent of pineapples and skunk. Although its smoke is bitter, it tastes earthy with a hint of citrus and spice.
Due to the plant’s landrace hardiness, The Blood is a pure sativa rarity that thrives in both indoor and outdoor environments. While indoor gardens may need height management and regular pruning, the cultivar prefers high humidity and lots of sunlight. In outdoor settings, the Blood blooms after 70 days or in mid- to late October. The Blood is only available to cultivators as clones.
