AK-48 is a strengthened version of the infamous AK-47 strain, which was developed by Nirvana Seeds from a combination of mostly Sativa landrace strains from Afghanistan, Colombia, Mexico, Thailand, and Thailand. Curiously, the plant doesn’t have a strong aroma while it’s growing, but the finished buds have a floral, citrus aroma and flavor that go well together.
According to Amsterdam Seed Center, laboratory tests indicate that it contains more than 20% THC.
While Nirvana Seeds advises a longer vegetative period to develop the taste, the breeder advertises AK-48 as a very fast grower, ready for harvest in as little as seven weeks. This cultivar, according to the seed bank, is incredibly forgiving, making it a great option for amateur or experimental growers.
Short plants bearing conical, dark green colas, pale green buds, and few yellow-orange pistils are produced by AK-48. Breeder and seed bank agree that AK-48 yields are extremely high.
