The Green House Seed Company in Amsterdam produces the Sativa-dominant hybrid known as Super Silver Haze.
Its name originally belonged to a plant created by breeders Scott Blakey, also known as Shantibaba, Howard Marks, also known as Mr. Nice, and Neville Schoenmaker. After leaving the seed company, they reworked the strain and gave it the name Silver Haze.
According to Green House, Sam the Skunkman’s Northern Lights #5 was crossed with Shiva to create the current iteration of the strain. At the High Times Cannabis Cup, the strain won first place three times in a row: first place overall in 1998 and 1999, as well as first place in the hydro category in 1998.
The strain reportedly has a strong, quick-acting Sativa-like effect as well as an instantly recognizable, spicy-peppery terpene profile, according to the seed company. It had 19.11% THC, 0.17% CBD, and 0.74% CBN in the test. It is advised for reducing pain and increasing appetite.
The strain blooms for 70–77 days, growing tall with long branches, bright green leaves, and both white and orange stigma hairs. According to Green House, the outdoor harvest occurs in the Northern Hemisphere around mid-October and in the Southern Hemisphere around mid-April. Additionally, it suggests Low-Stress Training (LST) and Screen of Green (ScrOG) for indoor grows as well as equatorial, tropical, subtropical, and temperate climates for outdoor growing.
Green House offers a strain of Super Silver Haze that has a high CBD content in addition to the original strain, as a result of breeding it with a high CBD plant. The seed supplier offers both the original and high-CBD varieties in feminized seed form.
